Your music deserves better.
Echobox is a music player built from the ground up for people who care how their music sounds. Three languages. One purpose. Precision playback with full transparency.
Everything your music needs.
Precision playback, room correction, library analysis, and full signal path transparency — built into a single player.
Room Sound
Make any room sound better.
Your room shapes how music sounds. Echobox measures it and corrects the problems automatically — no extra equipment, no expertise needed.
Room correction guide →Headphone Match
Tuned for your headphones.
Every headphone sounds different. Echobox loads correction profiles for over 3,000 models — so your music sounds the way it was meant to.
Parametric EQ guide →Multi-Room
Every speaker. One app.
Play to Chromecast, network receivers, and wireless speakers simultaneously. Echobox keeps them all in sync — even across different protocols.
Multi-room guide →Library Health
Know what you're actually listening to.
Echobox scans your library and measures loudness, dynamic range, and audio quality for every track. It spots clipping, bad masters, and files that aren't really hi-res.
Audio quality metrics →Full Transparency
See what's happening to your audio.
Most players are a black box. Echobox shows you the entire chain — sample rate, processing stages, output format, and whether your audio is reaching the DAC unmodified.
Bit-perfect guide →Sound Engine
Precision processing, start to finish.
Seven processing stages from loudness normalization to a lookahead limiter — or bypass everything for bit-perfect output to your USB DAC.
Bit-perfect guide →An audio engine built from scratch.
Most music apps use whatever audio system the phone gives them. We didn't. We built a dedicated audio engine that decodes your files at their original quality, processes them through a precision DSP pipeline, and delivers them to your hardware without the shortcuts and compromises that come with using Android's default mixer. Every stage is under our control — which means we can give you bit-perfect output, show you exactly what's happening to your signal, and adapt intelligently to whatever you're listening on.
Honest resampling
Bit-perfect to USB DACs at the track's native rate. When conversion is needed, our precision resampler handles it — not Android's default.
Adaptive output
Automatically adjusts to Bluetooth, USB DACs, and network speakers.
Full DSP control
EQ, room correction, crossfeed, and volume — all in a single precision pipeline.
The first player that shows you what it's doing.
Most music players are a black box. You press play and hope for the best. Echobox shows you the entire signal path — source format, resampling status, every DSP stage, output rate, Bluetooth codec, and bit-perfect status with specific disqualification reasons. It also detects files that claim to be hi-res but were actually upsampled from CD quality. If you've spent money on lossless files and quality hardware, you deserve to know your player is handling them correctly.
Every track measured. Every fake exposed.
Echobox runs deep analysis on your entire library in the background — integrated loudness (LUFS), true peak with 4x oversampled inter-sample detection, dynamic range, spectral bandwidth, and hi-res confidence scoring. It flags files that claim 96 kHz but contain nothing above 22 kHz. It detects clipping from aggressive mastering. Album-level aggregation shows you which pressings and which masters actually sound best. If you own multiple versions of the same album, Echobox tells you which one to keep.
Why we built this.
The frustration
We got tired of players that hid what they were doing to our audio. Silently resampling. Quietly downmixing. Claiming 'bit-perfect' while Android's mixer did whatever it wanted. We paid for hi-res files that turned out to be upsampled CDs — and nothing could tell us.
The solution
Three languages, each chosen for what it does best. A signal path you can verify. Analysis that tells the truth about your library. Room correction in 60 seconds. EQ that actually knows your headphones.
The philosophy
Echobox is built independently by One Man Band Studios. No venture funding, no bloatware, no trend-chasing. No ads, no account to play your music, no server to run. Just a music player that respects your time, your ears, and your collection.
Built for people who actually listen.
